It’s bad enough when I’m street harassed out by myself — I feel vulnerable and deciding how to respond can be hard. But it gets really complicated when I’m harassed and with my child.

At 21, a man feels that it is his right to grab at you, from your crotch to your ass while you are relatively sober in a nightclub. Nightclubs become a nightmare.

Guys, let's review some of the reasons that woman you've never met might not feel like chatting, shall we?

I enjoy the thought that I make other trans people, some of whom are in the closet or passing for cis, feel less alone when I take the train or talk with my normal voice.
