Nicole Arbour –– comedian of "Dear Fat People" fame –– is back with a new video, and this time it's NOT a complete debacle. In fact, Arbour is surprisingly on point with her "Dear Refugees" video, which takes aim at the Syrian refugee crisis.
Arbour rocketed to notoriety with her rants about fat people and Black people, but this time it's narrow-minded bigots who garner her anger. Arbour, a Canadian, makes a strong (albeit very much NSFW) argument in favor of opening our borders to the refugees.
“There’s a really bad war going on, and it’s our job as human beings to help them as much as we can,” Arbour said. “If you breathe air, it’s your job to help other people.”
While the fact that Arbour and I agree on something is pretty troubling, I'm still happy to see her using her power for good for a change. Granted, it makes no sense that she's advocating compassion for refugees when she's generally as cold-hearted and judgmental as it gets, but I guess everyone has to start somewhere.
Now, if only I could see the looks on the faces of all of the bigots who've been following her when they watch this video...
