Two Canadians failed at hunting but won at life when they freed a bald eagle from a trap and snapped the ultimate selfie.
Ontario brothers Michael and Neil Fletcher were hunting grouse when they stumbled across the trapped eagle. Like any modern duo, they immediately decided to record the entire rescue and then pause for a selfie before freeing the bird.
This selfie is what internet dreams are made of, and it has already gone viral as the "selfie of the year." I guess my duck face with toddlers selfies will have to try again for that honor next year.
The bird was released back into the woods after the brothers' photo op, and it's a happy ending for everyone involved –– including the Ontario grouse the brothers never found.
