Walk into a random retail store these days, and chances are a Christmas playlist will already be blaring. Even if you are an impassioned holiday devotee, chances are this will also annoy you. Let us survive November first, shall we?
That said, Christmas fashion campaigns are, relatively speaking, bearable—at least they look nice and don't include sounds of any kind. Some of them are already here (seriously, it's the beginning of November people), and we have to say, despite their premature arrival, they're pretty adorable.
Here are some early favorites, in no particular order. Scroll and be merry.
The one with all the party: Topshop
Topshop's festive campaign with ultimate party girl Cara Delevingne puts you in the mood for a night of dancing and spiked egg nog. The collection—all embellished, lacy decadence—does a fine job ringing in the holiday spirit, and the settings are as accessible as they are sexy. As for those novelty tights, we won't rule them out entirely. After all, the 90s are back.
The one with a Beckham: Burberry
Those genes mustn't be wasted—Romeo Beckham, the progeny of Posh Spice and soccer stud David, has landed his second gig with Burberry, holding a trademark umbrella in the British powerhouse's grandiose winter campaign. The brand went far beyond the custom ads and launched a four-minute video, in which Romeo is the main star alongside dozens of dancing models. Him and the trench coats, of course.
The one with a huge book: Lindex
Who? Lindex, a low-key Swedish fashion brand, may not be known for anything in particular (you try to compete with those H&M sensations) but its holiday campaign, featuring beloved veteran Karen Elson and hot newcomer Liya Kebede, manages to stand out thanks to its clean design, adorable outfits (matching pajamas? Yes please!) and one show-stopping prop—a giant book. Models inside big books can't be a bad thing, society.
