Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, but sometimes we lack that chemical X that takes us up a notch. What is it?
Swimsuits4all honored all sizes with their body-positive advertisements. Icelandic photographer Sigga Ella illuminated the hauntingly gorgeous side of alopecia. Even musician Kimberly Henderson’s showcased her post-pregnancy belly with pride.
So, what is that chemical X? Self-love, naturally, and its sweet sister confidence. Supermodel Chrissy Teigen embodied just that as she posed nude for the August issue of W magazine.
“The most uncomfortable I’ve ever been on set was having to model coats, so I’m the most comfortable in my own skin literally,” explained Teigen in a behind the scenes video with W. “I don’t know what it is, but I think sometimes that piece of clothing can be unflattering, like, there are certain things you can put me in and I won’t look the same. I actually AM better in less clothing.”
Before you shake your head and say, "Of course a supermodel feels confident naked," remember that models tend to be the most insecure people on the planet. Seriously! These women are surrounded by the most gorgeous creatures daily, and can't help but compare their aesthetics. Given that, Teigen's confidence is refreshing.
Our bodies are so fabulous. Take a page from Teigen's book, and get comfortable with your naked body. (We're sure your boo won't complain.)
