When my first baby was born — she was my first, and everything was perfect.

No, I pretty much had it together. I don't have it now! [laughs]
What's the biggest challenge you've overcome recently?
Losing my husband.
What did you love the most about him?
His kindness and generosity in every way. No matter what our children wanted, no matter what I wanted, he never told us no.
Tell me about your style! What inspired your all purple look today?
Because I'm all purple seven days a week.
Your entire wardrobe is purple?
Even down to the underwear, OK?
When did you start doing that?
A hundred years ago. I just thought it was a happy color. My husband and I, wherever we went, we were always in purple.
