Meet the World's Weirdest Internet Troll: Fappy, the Anti-Masturbation Dolphin That Hates Monsanto

In an Internet experiment so complex that even Rube Goldberg would scratch his head, we recently met Fappy the Anti-Masturbation Dolphin. This self-pleasure-loving mascot has appeared in various fake news reports, and appears to be aimed at targeting two controversial subjects: the agriculture company Monsanto and the hate-spewing Westboro Baptist Church. Faux stories have claimed he's sponsored by Monsanto, while the number on a website for a fake movie about him is for the controversial church (which has led some to speculate the church is actually involved in the hoax).

Though it's all a rather bizarre and confusing ruse, some more-than-latent—and odd!—public opinions surrounding masturbation and society have surfaced in the wake of it.

The Facebook page (yes, there is a Facebook page) laments the scandal with woes and concern dripping in derision:

You folks are making some excellent points about Fappy's arrest yesterday. I'm glad to see everyone staying calm and keeping a cool head during these difficult times. Faithful Fappy follower Gwen Hawkins said, 'What reputable person (or dolphin) HASN'T been charged with accusations like that?' Jon H. Trainor said, 'Was it on porpoise or was fappy set up?' Hamp Connell says, 'Hopefully he was using something from the Christian Porn Store and it's all a big misunderstanding.' Exactly friends! And remember, it's not masturbation if it was bought at the Christian Porn Store. Praise Fappy!

Links provided on the page take the viewer to humorous "anti-masturbation" sites, where men like "Concerned White Father" are free to air their grievances and express apprehension about our grand ol' masturbation nation. Actually, the group has several sites designed to promote this dolphin and his dastardly agenda.

If you completed the ninth grade, I don't even need to express the absolute hilarity of the name "Fappy" for such a creature, do I? And, as we recently discussed, dolphins are sexually deviant animals. But t
he real kicker? Sticking Monsanto's name on it. It's hard not to laugh at the (fabricated) idea that—in between banging their own GMO-riddled cucumbers while swimming in gilded pools of money that would make Scrooge McDuck green to the damn gillsMonsanto is sponsoring an anti-masturbation dolphin.

Seriously folks, you can't make this shit up. Except actually, you can.
