How many times have you stared down at your shoes and thought, “If only I could print all of my duck face, sparrow face and shy face selfies on my shoes, then all would be right with the world"?
Well get excited, because Adidas has heard your wishes. Last week, the brand announced (on Instagram of course!) the development of a new app that allows users to print their Instagram pictures right onto a pair of the brand’s sneakers. That's right: now all your Kelvin-filtered food porn pics, Valencia-filtered cats and Sepia-toned grainy #tbt’s can live on your feet 24 hours a day, seven days a week!
While it's possible this signals the pinnacle of horrifying Internet age narcissism, we're not going to lie: it's also kind of cool. Plus the app, available for iPhone and Android, doesn't make its debut until August, giving you plenty of time to come up with some creative Instagram options. Here’s what we already have in mind:
- Chanel’s logo: It’s probably the only way we’ll ever afford Chanel shoes.
- Mermaid scales: Can they add an iridescent filter?
- A dick pic: Because we're immature idiots and need a good laugh.
- A picture of Macaulay Culkin wearing a T-shirt with a picture of Ryan Gosling wearing the T-shirt of Macaulay Culkin. Now that would be some ultimate meta shit!
