Man Changes Name to 99-Character Joke After Losing a Bet
If you have trouble remembering people's names, try this one on for size:
Full Metal Havok More Sexy N Intelligent Than Spock And All The Superheroes Combined With Frostnova
This is the hilariously unfortunate name that a man in New Zealand legally adopted after losing a bet to what are clearly some heroically imaginative prankster buddies. He can change it back for $127, but honestly, why would he? The name has humor, confidence and a great back story. So we say, own that name! (That said, Mr. Frostnova, it's probably time to stop agreeing to ridiculous bets.)
Man Calmly Drinks Beer After Getting Dangerous Snake Bite
We have officially found our quote of the day! A man in Australia who was bitten by the highly dangerous eastern brown snake called the ambulance, then waited calmly with a cold brewskie in hand. His philosophy? "If I'm going to die, I'm going to have a beer." Amen, brother. Amen. (Also, he lived. Yay!)
UGH. Racists Who "Aren't Racists" React to Quvenzhané Wallis Annie Casting News
Last week, we gleefully announced the casting of the fierce Quvenzhané Wallisas as the star of an upcoming Annie remake. This week, we are lamenting the Internet's nasty reactions to this actually wonderful news. Comments range from "I'm not a racist, but since when is Annie black?!" to "I'm not a racist or anything...but this new Annie movie is all mixed up!!! Annie is WHITE!!!!!!" Newsflash: anybody who starts a sentence with "I'm not a racist, but..." — or for, that matter, anybody who uses all caps for WHITE or, you know, says racist things—is most likely a racist.
Miley Cyrus Wears Next to Nothing on Stage ... But As An Accident!
After missing a quick change during the Milwaukee leg of her Bangerz show, Miley trotted out on stage in nothing but a (suspiciously matching) sexy bra and undies pair, prompting a sad-face "whoops!" tweet and more headlines related to indecent exposure. Insert "Yeah, but how is that different from what she normally wears?" (har har) joke here.
