Valentine’s Day is a day for love – being single doesn’t change that! Why don’t you:
1.) Call an elderly relative to say hi. Making someone else’s day can be all the happiness you need.
2.) Gather your other single friends and hold a secret Santa like gift exchange. Have fun making silly cards and sweets for your gift recipient and celebrate your awesome friendship.
3.) Have a movie marathon featuring your main celeb crush. Mmmmmm, dream away on your steamy dreamboat love!
4.) Hold a slasher movie marathon where everyone dies miserably. Laugh. Consider therapy, but then get back to your popcorn.
5.) Treat yourself. Whether it’s a mani pedi or a sinfully sweet dessert, take time to indulge.
6.) Make amends with someone you’ve wronged. It doesn’t have to be dramatic – a simple, “sorry I was a jerk” can go a long way.
7.) Volunteer for a local charity. Spreading kindness will make you happy (science says this, not just us), and will mean a lot to those you help. Too busy? Donate some money to your favorite foundation.
8.) Throw a party! Whether it’s an anti-Valentine’s Day bash or a normal party, it will be fun to spend time with friends.
9.) Don your hottest lingerie under your clothes all day. Enjoy feeling sexy for you – not to impress anyone else.
10.) Perform a random act of kindness that you normally wouldn’t do. Pay bridge toll for the car behind you. Go out to eat and send a piece of cake to the table next to you. Bring a hot meal to a homeless person. No matter how small, spread the love.
